Today, with heavy hearts, we had to let go of our wonderful Layla – Mi Toi's Sowing D'Seeds of Love, our one-of-a-kind Lalelu.

Exactly 12 years ago today, we welcomed her at the airport. She was 3 years and 5 months old at the time – and yet it immediately felt as if she had always been part of our family. She came to us after a long journey from America, and from the very first moment it was clear: she was something very special.

Layla combined beauty and individuality. With her large, dark eyes and her graceful, elegant manner, she enchanted us from the very beginning. She was a dog who knew exactly what she wanted – and she always made it clear to us, especially at the patio door, where she didn't want to wait a second longer, but loudly announced that she wanted to be let in. She was independent, yet always full of dignity, radiance, and life.

We still vividly remember her first moment with us: like a small, wild rabbit, she jumped through the garden—delicate, almost fragile, yet bursting with joy and energy. That moment was like a promise: that Layla would fill our lives with color, light, and happiness. And that's exactly what she did.

Layla gave us wonderful dogs who carry on her legacy. Our Elisha, who stayed with us, has always reminded us of her mother in her gaze and her nature. Layla's soul will remain part of our family forever.

We are grateful that she was able to pass away so quickly and peacefully, without having to suffer for long. And although our hearts are heavy now, we know that she was loved until the very end.

Layla leaves behind traces—bright, colorful splashes in our hearts, memories full of joy, energy, and warmth. She wasn't our first dog, but she brought her own story to our family and taught us what it means to be unique.

After 15 years, she has now crossed the rainbow bridge. But she lives on—in every descendant, in every memory, in every bit of love she gave us.

Our Lalelu, you were a gift.
